Workshop & Seminar Series
We plan and host workshops and seminars that bring leading human rights practitioners to Harvard to lead discussions and interact with students and faculty. Examples include:
NGO Advocacy & Mobilizing for Change: Learning from Oxfam America’s Work with Grassroots Movements planned with Oxfam’s Minor Sinclair and Lupe Gamboa and HKS Professor Marshall Ganz (Fall 2010).
Why They Died: Investigating Violations of Humanitarian Law during the July 2006 War, with Nadim Houry and Loubna Freih of Human Rights Watch (January 2010), co-sponsored with the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy.
A Clash of Expectations: Shaping Collaborations between Domestic Human Rights NGOs in Developing Countries & International Human Rights NGOs, with Innocent Chukwuma of Nigeria’s CLEEN Foundation (November 2009).
