Management
An online program designed to help nonprofit and
non-governmental organization managers improve their
financial literacy. This program is designed to help
managers in nonprofit organizations understand the tools,
techniques, and concepts of good financial management.

Governance as Leadership: Mobilizing Your
Board
An online program designed to help executives of nonprofit
and non-governmental organizations engage their boards in
more consequential and meaningful work that produces
greater value for their organizations. The program is
designed specifically for executives in nonprofit and
non-governmental organizations who want to tap into the
full array of talent and energy within their boards.

Strategic Frameworks for
Nonprofit/Nongovernmental
Organizations
This is a 10-week online learning program for leaders of
nonprofits and NGOs in the developing world. The program
consists of five (5) two-week modules on topics including
strategy frameworks, mission statements, portfolio
management, marketing, and strategic positioning.
Participants will apply concepts developed at the Kennedy
School to challenges facing their individual organizations
using electronic workbooks and moderated discussion boards
where they will share their experiences and gain insights
from other leaders around the globe. Each two-week module
will culminate in a live discussion with faculty chair

Expanding Non-Governmental Organization
Impacts
This online program offers NGO leaders the opportunity to
sharpen their visions and think strategically about how to
enhance the reach of their programs in a sustainable
manner. Led by Professor L. David Brown, the program
focuses on strategies for clarifying vision, mission and
strategy; enhancing legitimacy and support among key
stakeholders; expanding capacity with stakeholder
alliances; expanding capacity with multi-sectoral
partnerships; and managing change and organizational

Organizing: People, Power and
Change
An online program designed to help leaders of civic
associations, advocacy groups and social movements learn
how to organize communities that can mobilize power to make
change. The program represents a unique online learning
opportunity for nonprofit and non-governmental organization
managers to interact with colleagues from around the world
