Rahim Kanani is a Master’s student in Religion, Ethics and Politics at Harvard Divinity School, where he focuses on Islamic studies and international security policy. Rahim also serves on the Student Advisory Committee of the Hauser Center. He has a demonstrated interest in the intersection of politics, religion, security, human rights, and NGOs, having engaged in opportunities with Harvard Kennedy School’s Carr Center for Human Rights Policy, Harvard School of Public Health’s Program on Humanitarian Policy and Conflict Research, Harvard’s Pluralism Project, Amnesty International’s USA Headquarters, the U.S. Military Academy’s Combating Terrorism Center at West Point, and various United Nations agencies focusing on issues of international torture and gender violence in conflict zones. Rahim holds a BA in Philosophy from the University of Western Ontario and an MSc in Global Politics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
